Job Summary
Plan, create, and implement an activities program meeting the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. Encourage and motivate others while serving as a positive presence for residents and their families. Arrange, organize, and assist with on-campus and off-campus events including holiday celebrations, social gatherings, community outings, and exercise programs. Maintain patient composure when interacting with residents, family members, staff, and visitors. This role supports Touchmark's mission to enrich daily lives through five-star hospitality at Coffee Creek, a leading full-service retirement community.
Required Qualifications
- Have a commitment to Touchmark's values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have experience working with a social or recreational activities program in a health care setting
- Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment
- Have a commitment to confidentiality in respect to resident status and medical history
- Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
Desired Qualifications
- preferably have experience working with people living with dementia
