Job Summary
Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive activities program for residents, coordinating events, outings, games, and exercises; arranges visits from scout troops, school groups, and performance groups; oversees the activities department and ensures residents participate safely. Responsibilities include managing the department budget, training and monitoring volunteers, maintaining equipment and space, ensuring compliance with regulations, communicating with residents and families about participation and satisfaction, transporting residents, and enforcing safety policies. Requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, proficiency with computers and the internet, ability to work a flexible schedule (including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays), and an unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; must be at least 18 years old; experience planning social and recreational programs.
