Job Summary
Plan, organize and lead resident activities as part of the Life Enrichment Team; provide companionship and care to residents and assist with residents’ care as needed. Requires preparing activity programs for residents, with CNA certification preferred and a chauffeur’s license; experience with dementia/Alzheimer’s and long-term care settings; proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using technology. Day shift is 9:00 am–5:00 pm with rotating evening and weekend shifts; collaborative, compassionate care within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred current Michigan CNA Certification
- Required Chauffeur's license
- Minimum 1 year experience planning, organizing and carrying out activity programs
- Experience with Residents with Dementia and Alzheimer's preferred.
- Ability to plan activities and programming for residents
- Experience working with residents in a long-term care or similar setting
- Ability to build rapport with residents
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to work well in teams
- Experience using a variety of technology devises
- Computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office program
