Job Summary
Implement therapeutic activity programs daily, including social, sensory, spiritual, and group outings. Conduct individual resident visits with conversational and task-oriented activities while maintaining a safe environment. Coordinate meal service by managing seating charts, tray distribution, and assisting residents with feeding. Oversee volunteer training, document care activities and intake in Care tracker, and report observations to licensed nurses. Maintain infection control standards and a clutter-free neighborhood.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Successfully complete Safe Food Handling Part I and II during orientation process
- Good interpersonal skills
- Shows sensitivity to the needs, interests, and abilities of the residents
- Conforms to established work hours
- Maintains an acceptable work attendance record
- Regularly required to stand

- Occasionally required to sit
- Occasionally required to use hands to feel and manipulate objects, tools, or controls
