Job Summary
Contribute to resident care plans and assist in developing monthly calendars featuring daily, holiday, and weekend events. Plan educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical programs while posting reminders to encourage participation. Decorate areas for special events, assist with preparation and cleanup, and coordinate transportation to outside programs or medical appointments. Maintain stimulating activity supplies and manage problems with difficult residents, families, or sponsors. Work full-time day shifts (9:00a–5:00p) every other weekend and holiday. Requires high school diploma, strong communication skills, and prior activity experience in skilled nursing or assisted living.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- basic computer-related skills
- the ability to learn how to operate office and audio-video equipment
- Previous activity experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility
- Fulltime Day shift 9:00a -5:00p every other weekend and every other holiday
