Job Summary
Implement assigned activities to help residents achieve their best day through meaningful relationships, recreation, exercise, and social interaction. Perform daily routines including creating diverse opportunities for personal growth, fun, and enjoyment. Participate in daily Chat Circles with residents and staff, assist residents with individual or group activities, and transport residents within the community. Take residents outdoors, facilitate outings and special events, and handle miscellaneous tasks such as shopping, running errands, and assisting with correspondence. Provide one-on-one interactions based on resident preferences. Work 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM with rotating weekly schedules, reporting directly to the Life Enrichment Director.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or equivalent
- Class B license or willingness to obtain within six months of hire as designated or required by site
- Able and willing to work flexible hours such as during evenings and weekends for planned programs
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative and good rapport with residents, staff, families and volunteers
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers
