Job Summary
Design, create, and facilitate 6-7 high-quality recreational and educational programs daily based on wellness dimensions and resident interests. Survey and interview residents to complete profiles, determine talents, and assess satisfaction with community activities. Coordinate with the program team to plan monthly calendars, organize supplies, and manage volunteer recruitment and oversight. Document all records, organize programming areas, and arrange equipment for group or one-on-one activities. Transport residents to grocery shopping, leisure outings, and physician appointments as directed. Arrange seating and sporting equipment for scheduled events and return areas to normal structure. Maintain neat staging of supplies and promote programs through daily notices and posters. Work flexible days, evenings, weekends, and holidays while meeting state requirements for the role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good physical condition
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexible, consistent, imaginative, engaging and have a passion for working with seniors
- Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities
