Job Summary
Plan and coordinate resident activity programs to stimulate residents physically, mentally, and socially, following state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include developing programs for residents with varying physical/mental abilities, building rapport with residents and families, maintaining records (attendance, goals, quarterly notes, hospitalization reviews, discharge summaries, initial assessments), attending care conferences to determine care plan needs and electronically documenting MDS, RAPS, TRIGGERS, and Care Plans. Provide leadership for assigned activities and events; recommend program changes to the Director of Life Enrichment. Respond to resident call lights promptly. Requires a high school diploma or GED; post-secondary education preferred. Prior long term care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Post secondary education is preferred.
- Experience in long term care is preferred.
