Lidar Manufacturing Test Engineer

Job Summary
Install, debug, and maintain calibration and test systems for LiDAR sensors with Contract Manufacturers across pilot-line and mass-production phases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test processes, cycle time, and automation while driving DfT and designing PCBA test stations such as ICT and FCT. Analyze production data including SPC and yield to identify root causes of failures, execute 8D and 5 Whys, and lead yield reporting and failure analysis. Prepare MSA reports, create technical documentation, and integrate factory MES systems to enhance assembly traceability. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Optical, Mechanical, or Physics engineering with 3+ years in manufacturing product testing and Python proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing product testing, specifically with high-precision electro-mechanical assemblies or LiDAR
- Proven ability to work with external vendors and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) for factory bring-up
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation, test data analysis, and scripting and linux shell scripts
- In-depth knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and Gage R&R studies
- Experience working with industrial robots and handling systems
