Job Summary

Assess and process high-volume licensing and registration applications, including High Risk Work (HRW), while ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Dangerous Goods Act. Provide accurate information and advice to stakeholders via phone, face-to-face, or written communications, and refer complex issues to Senior Licensing Officers for resolution. Perform diverse administrative tasks such as mail processing, filing, archiving, and refunds, maintaining all completed work in accordance with approved procedures. This role supports the safe operation of Victorian workplaces within the Licensing team, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a regular workload with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
  • Demonstrated ability to manage regular workload with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to absorb knowledge and learn new skills
  • Highly developed experience in various computer programs with the ability to learn new systems in a timely manner including, but not limited to, Excel and Word
  • Experience in a similar role undertaking administrative tasks, processing high volumes of forms, completing accurate data entry in a changing environment
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented professional
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to build positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and/or other checks as required for the position
