Job Summary
Licensing & Compensation Specialist at Homesteaders Life Company focusing on end-to-end licensing and contracting processes, commission adjustments, and compensation procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, processing agent appointments, coordinating background checks, data entry into internal systems, ensuring state regulatory compliance, handling commission adjustments (Reserve Releases, Internal Replacements, Voided Checks, Returned EFTs, bonus calculations), answering queries about agent numbers, marketing codes, contracts, hierarchies, and compensation to stakeholders, managing agent status changes, composing communications to agents, performing quality control for compensation thresholds, processing and paying invoices (Vertafore and insurance departments), and updating/creating Licensing & Compensation procedures. Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to GED and an Associate’s degree or two-year equivalent experience in insurance or licensing field required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office products: Excel, Outlook and Word is required.
- 1-3+ years insurance/agency experience is desirable.
- Prior phone experience is desirable.
