Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) role focused on directing and coordinating resident care in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assigning staff per policy, promoting teamwork, completing rounds, identifying concerns, relaying information to the Director of Nursing, enforcing standards of patient care, guiding care plan revisions with Charge Nurses, delivering resident/family health education, actively participating in direct patient care, responding to call lights and assisting with ADLs, maintaining safe and clean environments, completing QAPI and nursing labor forms, attending Team Leader and CNA meetings, and coordinating facility activities. Requires current LPN license in the working state, with preference for supervisory experience in long-term care, strong communication, multitasking, physical stamina, and the ability to document and manage diverse activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN in the state you will be working
- Two years long-term care supervisory experience preferred
- Three to five years long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with residents, visitors and staff
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to transfer and move residents who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment
- Ability to perform necessary documentation
- Visual acuity
- Must be able to manage a diversity of activities
