Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nursing Associate position focusing on supervising and coordinating resident care in long-term care. Responsibilities include assigning staff per policy, promoting teamwork, conducting rounds, reporting concerns timely, managing staff performance, empowering staff for autonomy, ensuring standards of patient care, reviewing and updating care plans with Charge Nurses, implementing resident/family teaching, actively participating in direct patient care, responding to call lights and assisting with ADLs, ensuring safe and clean environment, completing QAPI and nursing forms, attending Team Leader and CNA meetings, handling crises and safety procedures, coordinating facility activities to ensure proper operation, investigating employee concerns, and communicating actions to the Director of Nursing. Requires current LPN licensure in the applicable state and relevant long-term care supervisory/experience; strong communication, organizational, physical capability to lift/move residents and equipment, and documentation skills; willingness to perform additional duties as assigned. Pay range $59,810 - $94,539 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN in the state you will be working
- Two years long-term care supervisory experience preferred
- Three to five years long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with residents, visitors and staff
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to transfer and move residents who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment
- Ability to perform necessary documentation
- Visual acuity
- Must be able to manage a diversity of activities
