Job Summary
Assist in patient assessment and treatment planning, administer medications, and implement medical plans as directed by healthcare practitioners. Respond to emergencies and maintain safety through established protocols, while implementing nutrition and therapeutic diets. Document nursing encounters and communicate patient information to staff and supervisory personnel. Direct and guide patient teaching and activities in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and Correctional Health Services policies. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and compliance with established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state employed
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) or more years clinic experience preferred
