Licensed Vocational Nurse - Surgical Services

Licensed Vocational Nurse in Surgical Services supports the surgical team during invasive and minimally invasive procedures by passing instruments, assisting with retraction and suturing, and maintaining strict aseptic technique. Responsible for preparing and organizing the operating room, handling and passing sterile instruments, packaging and labeling specimens, assisting with instrument reprocessing and supply stocking, and performing housekeeping duties within the surgical department. Requires compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies, ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and effective communication with surgeons, nursing staff, and other departments. Must have a Texas nursing license and BLS certification; HS diploma or equivalent required; one year nursing experience preferred.
