Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse in a mission-driven Sevita-affiliated community-based program providing nursing and medical supports to individuals with brain injury, IDD, SUD, or behavioral disabilities. Administer medications, monitor health conditions, and document care; oversee and support staff in medication administration; implement physician orders and ISP-based care; train staff on infection control and medication administration; coordinate with external medical providers and agencies to ensure consistent treatment; provide training on self-medication, sex education/STD prevention, and smoking cessation; requires Associate’s Degree in Nursing or state certificate and active LPN/LVN licensure; requires ~1 year nursing experience; full-time schedule 7am-3pm; location Castro Valley, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or state certificate
- One year of experience working with population served in a nursing capacity
- Current state LPN or LVN licensure for state of residence
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals served, and families
