Job Summary
Provide nursing services, treatments, diagnostic, and preventive procedures for inmate care and safety. Administer prescribed medications, apply surgical dressings, and check vital signs while interpreting physician orders and assisting during sick calls. Deliver emergency first-aid care, observe symptoms when physicians are absent, and instruct inmates on discharge planning. Supervise correctional staff on health care needs, report treatment reactions and condition changes, order supplies, maintain accurate medical records, and provide health care education. Complete a criminal background screening, sign a non-disclosure agreement, and work a 4:3 rotating schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (emailed)
- Must be willing to complete a criminal background screening questionnaire
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or LTAC experience
- American Heart Association BLS required
- IV Therapy Certified
- Willingness to work 4:3 rotating schedule
