Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse Med Surg role at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan in San Antonio. Responsible for providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs, administering medications, managing lines/drains, assisting with interventions such as cardiac monitoring or respiratory support, monitoring patient status and escalating concerns, documenting timely updates for care coordination, educating patients and families about conditions and recovery steps, and collaborating with RNs and specialists to guide patients from ICU toward recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- GVN Graduate Vocational Nurse, or LPN/LVN Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
