Job Summary
Provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. Check vital signs, dress wounds, insert catheters, and collect lab samples while ensuring privacy and infection control. Perform accurate charting of progress notes, monitor residents at risk for falls, and assist with equipment maintenance. Listen to residents and families, address their concerns, and report condition changes to the supervisor. Supervise CNAs and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Maintain a positive disposition, communicate empathetically with all stakeholders, and follow facility policies strictly. Complete annual in-service training and attend to other management requests as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of LVN training from accredited school or college
- Valid LVN license in good standing
- Valid CPR and BLS card
- Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
- Ability to use computer or tablet to enter resident data
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to read fine print on tablet, progress notes and/or medical labels
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred
- IV Certification is a plus
