Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) providing overall nursing care on shift, including timely administration of medications, treatments, and documentation. Supervises CNAs, assists RN supervisor with changes in condition and orders, communicates with attending physicians and residents’ families, responds to emergencies, and participates in infection prevention and control activities. Functions as Infection Preventionist designee, supports infection control education, and contributes to Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs. The role requires collaboration with staff to maintain high-quality resident care in a Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living environment and adherence to Title 22/OBRA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing
- At least one-year of experience providing direct nursing care to the elderly and chronically ill patients preferably in a skilled nursing facility
- Knowledge regarding Title 22 and OBRA Regulations
