Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) needed for per diem role in an assisted living community. Provide basic therapeutic, restorative, and preventive nursing care to residents, collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and caregivers to implement individualized care plans, and supervise care staff in accordance with RCFE regulations and facility policy. Essential duties include initiating emergency medical care and transfers, administering medications and treatments, documenting nursing care, attending department meetings, completing online training, maintaining medical records, and assisting with discharge paperwork. Requires strong communication, clinical and leadership skills, patient-centered approach, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Examiners
- One year of experience as an LVN in assisted living, long-term care or similar setting
