Job Summary
Organize, provide, and maintain necessary healthcare services consistent with CCHCS policies. Conduct basic hygiene, administer prescribed medications, and perform disease prevention as ordered. Collect patient status information to report to the Primary Care Provider or RN. Provide patient education, document care accurately, and assist with therapeutic measures and treatments. Clean equipment, obtain diagnostic specimens, and assist with clinic appointments including physical exams and minor surgeries. Monitor patient behavior to contribute to treatment planning and assist in training activities of daily living. Document nursing care and treatment responses in health records to ensure continuity of care. Requires twelve months of recent direct patient care experience and a current California LVN license.
Required Qualifications
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution
- Current and valid license issued by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider
