Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential nursing care for individuals with acute alcohol and/or drug intoxication within a residential treatment setting. Monitor safety from initial assessment through discharge, perform health screenings (CIWA, COWS, GCS, ASAM), document in the EHR, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, assist in care plan development, and facilitate access to medically assisted treatment as appropriate. Collaborate with counselors and medical backup, support participant stabilization and recovery, and maintain professional communication with patients, families, and other care providers. On-site role at a residential program in Lemon Grove, CA; CPR/BLS certified with CA LVN license required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Vocational Nursing program
- Active LVN license in California
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience working with vulnerable populations including individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions
- Proficiency in health assessments and withdrawal screenings (CIWA, COWS)
- Strong documentation skills (EHR, Welligent)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage crisis situations calmly
- On-site position
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background check and drug test
- Reliable transportation
