Job Summary
Provide direct nursing services in the district school health program under the supervision of the school health coordinator or RN. Administer medications to students per board policy, conduct mandatory screening programs, collect data, and prepare reports. Collaborate with campus staff, communicate with parents, participate in ARD/IEP-related activities, and distribute health information. Maintain accurate confidential health records and ensure compliance with federal/state laws and district policies. Offer guidance to unlicensed staff on health-related tasks and supervise health clinic aides as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Texas LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Current CPR and AED certificates
- One year experience in health-related position; experience with school-age children
