Job Summary
Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health care needs under direct RN supervision, performing focused assessments, administering medications, and completing accurate documentation. Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered plans of care while maintaining a clean, infection-controlled environment. Maintain patient privacy and adhere to state nurse practice act policies. Requires current LVN/LPN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and two years of acute care experience. Full-time day shift (7A-7P) at Baylor Scott & White Hospital Willow Park.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D
- Graduated from an approved licensed practical nurse/vocational nurse (LPN/LVN)
- Two years of relevant experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an acute care setting
- Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the state in which you practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Pedagogy IV Certification Course completed within 30 days of hire
- Fluency in English; written and oral communication
- Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance)
- Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date
