Job Summary
Complete and file admission, transfer, and discharge record-keeping forms; chart nurses' notes and care plans accurately; administer medications and document processes in a timely manner. Demonstrate knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and relevant laws while exhibiting leadership to supervise other personnel. Plan, organize, and implement programs and policies to ensure quality care for residents. Maintain patience and enthusiasm when handling challenging residents, dealing tactfully with family members, visitors, and government agencies. Be flexible and willing to work any shift as required, including morning, afternoon, and night rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Vocational Nurse (VN) through the California Board of Vocational Nursing
- Verification of CPR (BLS) and First Aid certification
- Background clearance
- TB screening
- Successful completion of a health examination by a Los Angeles Jewish Health Nurse Practitioner or M.D.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a rehabilitation setting
- Strong clinical and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Be flexible and willing to work any shift as required
