Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Chico, Oroville, or Yuba City, CA. per diem/part-time shifts including AM/PM Med Cart or 8a–4:30p; provide patient care under RN supervision across facilities (medical offices, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, schools); take vitals, perform assessments, document progress, administer medications, operate medical equipment, and maintain a safe environment; collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and aides; ensure adherence to healthcare laws and facility policies while delivering compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Active LVN license in CA
- One (1) year nursing experience preferred, minimum of six (6) months nursing experience required
- Ability to pass a pre-hire physical, TB test, background check and drug screen
- Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, good communication, compassionate
- Care for patients with varied illnesses in facilities (medical offices, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and schools) under supervision of an RN
- Work with team of physicians, RNs, CNAs and aides
- Take patient vitals, assessments, document progress and report changes to RN supervisor
- Administer medications, operate medical equipment and maintain a safe environment
