Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice, meeting psychosocial, physical, and communication needs of patients and families. Perform duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse while demonstrating knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and the triage process in the ER setting. Maintain current BLS certification and IV certification upon hire, with Blood Withdrawal certification preferred. Work nights in the emergency services department of Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center, a 167-bed community hospital recognized for quality and compassion.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- IV certification upon hire
- Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting
- Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification
