Job Summary
Assess patient needs, administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications, and evaluate complex conditions while monitoring pain levels and vital signs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop mental health assessments, conduct medication reviews, and manage patient access to community resources for disease management. Accurately document medical history and treatment responses in electronic health records, including phlebotomy and vaccine administration tasks. This role primarily serves the McKinney Eldorado clinic with float availability to Allen and Frisco. Candidates must hold an active LVN/LPN license, pass the NCLEX-PN, and possess proficiency with Epic EMR systems. Required Qualifications
- Active and in good standing state LVN or LPN license
- Successful completion of the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation standards
- Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in a clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics among staff and patients
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information ethically and responsibly
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of a State approved Practical or Vocational nursing program
