Job Summary
Provide patient care under provider supervision and document services in the Electronic Medical Record. Perform basic laboratory tests and refill medications with provider approval while managing authorizations and prior authorizations for referrals and diagnostic testing. Assist with patient and community education on disease processes, diet, and care management, plus compile data and audit charts for the QA/QI Program. Maintain clean, stocked examination and laboratory rooms. Requires Texas nursing licensure, medical office experience, and ability to stand or walk up to eight hours daily. Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have medical office (private physician or public health clinic) experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed in the State of Texas without restrictions
- Must have good vision
- Must be able to lift thirty-five pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a safe driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Must be able to pass a criminal history background check
