Job Summary
Provide basic therapeutic, restorative, and preventive care to residents with common health problems while collaborating on assessments and care plans. Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in coordination with other disciplines. Receive, document, and implement physician orders; order and administer medications, perform treatments, schedule tests, and ensure prescribed diets are followed. Document weekly assessments and significant occurrences. Supervise unlicensed personnel, encourage resident independence, and perform duties effectively with minimum supervision in accordance with the California Licensed Vocational Nurse Practice Act. Requires current California licensure, one year of acute care LVN experience, and two years in long-term care with charge nurse experience. Shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with PM and NOC differentials. Includes a $2,500 retention bonus, $0 medical cost share, education scholarship, and 403(b) match.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Examiners
- Must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references)
- Some roles require COVID-19 vaccination status
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse as a staff nurse in an acute care setting is desirable
- Two years in long-term care with prior charge nurse experience preferred
