Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (IV Certified) in the Emergency Room at Sutter Coast Hospital. Provides nursing care under the direct supervision of an RN or physician, following standards of care, policies and procedures. Performs basic nursing skills, supports department functionality through equipment maintenance and supply distribution, and may orient other staff. Initial training occurs in the Emergency Department with anticipation of transitioning to the EmPath unit once established. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 available. Requires graduation from an accredited LVN program and active LVN license, BLS, IV therapy and intravenous blood withdrawal capabilities, and approximately 2 years of recent relevant nursing experience. Works a 12-hour shift with variable weekend requirements; base pay ranges from $39.14 to $48.92 per hour, with total compensation eligible for comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- LVN IV Therapy
- Blood Withdrawal Provider
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
