Job Summary
Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician, serving as a trusted caregiver within your professional scope of practice. Support accurate health assessments by observing patient well-being, recognizing condition changes, and advocating for optimal outcomes. Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for adverse reactions. Perform routine laboratory tests and therapeutic services to support timely diagnostic decisions. Empower patients and families through clear education on treatment plans, post-discharge self-care, and community resources. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in the Providence Internal Medicine department.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program permit (GVN)
- Temporary or Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license to practice in the state of Texas
- current home state license for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience
- Dependable, team-oriented professional with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality collaborative care
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
