Job Summary
The LVN Charge Nurse will provide nursing care for residents in a skilled nursing facility in Brenham, TX, including administering medications, observing and documenting resident conditions, ensuring adherence to care plans, and coordinating with physicians. The role involves performing rounds with physicians, narcotic reconciliation, identifying changes in resident condition, supervising aides, initiating incident/accident reports, discharging residents per policy, completing Nursing Assessments prior to physician calls, and communicating updates to residents’ families or contacts. Additional special projects may be assigned by the Director of Nurses or Administrator.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing.
- Has completed an LVN program at an accredited vocational school or college.
