Job Summary
Deliver and oversee comprehensive nursing care, including administering medications, treatments, and assessing residents' conditions. Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed, supervise nursing assistants, and ensure a clean, safe environment for all residents. Respond appropriately to emergencies, document care needs and interventions accurately, and maintain effective communication across shifts, departments, and families. Advocate for residents' rights, report signs of abuse or neglect, and adhere strictly to safety protocols and infection control policies. Assist with onboarding new staff, provide feedback for evaluations, and attend in-service education to support ongoing professional development. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and accept reassignment as necessary to meet resident care needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program
- Current and active LVN license in the state of California
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong commitment to quality patient care, safety, and professionalism
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents for extended periods
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and assistive devices safely
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred
