Licensed Vocational Nurse

Provide basic nursing care by assisting in resident assessments on admission and ongoing, accurately documenting findings and communicating significant changes to the interdisciplinary team. Implement nursing interventions relevant to the care plan, including medication administration and treatments, while ensuring safety and timeliness. Monitor residents closely to identify behavioral changes or untoward symptoms, utilizing critical thinking to address problem areas through the QAPI process. Administer IV fluids only if certified and answer call lights or assist with activities of daily living as needed. Notify physicians timely using SBARR communication during crises or condition changes. Complete at least twelve hours of nursing-related continuing education annually and maintain current CPR/AED certification.
