Job Summary
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for implementing established care plans for chronically ill and technologically dependent residents, which includes monitoring resident conditions, administering medications, and providing treatments. The role entails collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and educating residents and families. Candidates must be LVN graduates from accredited nursing programs, hold current licensure, and possess at least 6 months of recent LVN experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle emotional stresses in a skilled care environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- LVN graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, valid LVN licensure to practice in the state
- Minimum 6 months prior LVN experience in the past 2 years in a general acute care hospital or equivalent competency
Desired Qualifications
- Current BCLS certification
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Empathy in patient interactions
Additional Requirements
