Job Summary
The LVN Charge Nurse oversees resident care in a skilled nursing facility, including observing and evaluating resident condition during rounds, administering medications, ensuring care plans are implemented, documenting changes, conducting narcotic reconciliation, initiating incident/accident reports, discharging residents per policy, and supervising aides. Requires active Texas LVN license, completion of an LVN program, and experience in a skilled nursing setting; strong communication with physicians, residents, and family/care teams. The role may involve completing nursing assessments prior to physician calls and coordinating with the Director of Nurses/Administrator on special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing.
- Has completed an LVN program at an accredited vocational school or college.
