Job Summary

Provide excellent patient care, exceptional client education, and support across all hospital areas including surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, and laboratory skills. Maintain proficiency in common medical conditions and medications while critically anticipating veterinarian and patient needs. Mentor veterinary assistants and support staff to consistently maintain high standards of care and client needs throughout the hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • Maintain professional license in good standing
  • Exceptional communication skills among all team members and in serving client needs
  • Passionate and knowledgeable in providing excellent patient care in all areas of the hospital
  • Ability to critically think and anticipate Veterinarian and patient needs
  • Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with and respects all levels of hospital team members
  • Self-starter and ability to prioritize and take initiative
  • Familiar with or open to learn animal behavior and assessing animal body language
  • Can stay calm and efficient in a medical crisis
  • Exhibit patience and respect to animals always
  • Has physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk dogs up to 120 lbs. and can stand or walk for extended periods of time
