Job Summary
Licensed Veterinary Technician with 2+ years of surgical experience in a high-acuity environment to induce, monitor, and recover patients under general anesthesia; provide direct surgical suite support (prep, draping, post-op recovery); perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy; administer medications via PO, SQ, IM, and IV; assist with imaging (CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, X-ray); educate owners on post-operative and at-home care; collaborate across specialties and maintain patient records; 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour shifts with on-call; lifting up to 40 lbs; located at Summit Veterinary Referral Center in Tacoma, WA; VTS in Anesthesia encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Active Washington LVT license (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed veterinary technician
- VTS in Anesthesia strongly encouraged to apply
- Specialty or surgical veterinary experience preferred but not required
