Job Summary
Lead and direct all activities of the Veterinary Nursing Program at Pima Medical Institute San Antonio, directing curriculum to AVMA standards, supervising faculty, overseeing clinical sites, maintaining AVMA records, accreditation self-study reports, budgeting, and ensuring student success; position requires a TX-licensed LV T and AVMA CVTEA-aligned program background, VTNE/LVTE certification, and 3+ years of experience with leadership responsibilities; offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing in the state of Texas
- Graduate of an AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technician program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA
- Must pass the VTNE and Texas Licensed Technician Veterinary Examination (LVTE) as required by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in the veterinary field and/or 3 years of teaching experience in the veterinary field
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer applications
