Job Summary
Licensed Veterinary Technician (Internal Medicine) at BluePearl Midtown NYC, supporting board-certified Internal Medicine specialists with anesthesia, imaging, endoscopy support, and client discharge education. Responsibilities include precise medical calculations, administering CRIs, assisting with ultrasound/radiology and GI/nasal/urinary endoscopy procedures, maintaining equipment readiness, and delivering compassionate client communication to empower pet owners in ongoing care. Competitive pay range ($27-$51/hr) with on-call pay, sign-on bonus up to $20k based on experience, and career growth opportunities in a collaborative specialty/emergency environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing
- Current veterinary technician license with ability to practice in the United States
- Ability to perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Experience or competency with advanced diagnostics and procedures support (ultrasound, radiology, endoscopy)
- Proficiency in client education and discharge instructions
- VTNE and VTS support beneficial
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Internal Medicine service
- Flexibility to work 4x10-hour weekday shifts and on-call responsibilities
