Job Summary
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in-home and at the outpatient center for children with developmental disabilities. Perform bio-psycho-social assessments and deliver coping, social skills, and anger management training to reduce risk behaviors like self-injury or physical aggression. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team to improve decision-making skills and manage behavioral challenges. Submit intake, treatment plans, and SOAP notes within designated time frames while attending monthly meetings. Maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, ensuring a valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 35 minutes from home.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy or related fields as LAC
- At least 1-year experience providing positive behavior supports, PECS, social stories, use of visual aids and implementing behavior support plans
- Prior experience working with children ages 3-20 or at least 1-year experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)
- Professional liability insurance
- Valid driver's license
- Registered vehicle
- Computer or laptop with ability to print
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Ability to drive up to 35 minutes or less from home to client
- Availability including weekends
- Flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual is a plus, Spanish preferable, other languages are welcome
