Job Summary
Provide teletherapy sessions to students at partner institutions via video, phone, or chat as a 1099 independent contractor in a part-time role. Manage an ongoing caseload from initial session to graduation, conduct sessions with students, and apply evidence-based practices with SMART goals. Deliver culturally competent care to a diverse student body, perform risk assessments, complete timely session notes, and respond to student messages. Requires Zoom-enabled sessions, HIPAA compliance, and a professional, private location. The role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling, multi-state licensure support, and ongoing professional development including CEUs.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 2 years of experience providing therapy in a telehealth setting using a variety of modalities
- An independent license to practice mental health therapy without supervision (e.g. LPC/LMHC, LCSW/LICSW, LMFT or PsyD)
- Professional liability insurance
- HIPAA compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions
- Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or laptop with camera and microphone
