Job Summary
Perform Medicare claim reviews and conduct internal investigations into compliance issues within skilled nursing facilities. Analyze medical records and claims to detect quality or compliance violations, then track corrective action plans for adverse findings. Facilitate required compliance activities and deliver training to facility personnel on Medicare requirements. This role requires 70% travel within California and Oregon, with a typical 40-hour schedule. You will work independently in a home office environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance organizational compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational, Physical or Speech Language Pathologist Therapy License
- A minimum of five years of SNF experience
- Expertise in MDS/PDPM coding rules and regulations
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industry
- Ability to work with all levels of management on potentially complex compliance/regulatory issues
- Travel required 70% of the time within California/Oregon and surrounding areas/states
- Pre‐employment criminal background screening required

- A desire to constantly improve Medicare management systems and organizational compliance
- Understands and accepts the unpredictable nature and needs of the compliance function in a large organization
- Exhibits analytical skills and an understanding of operational processes
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel
