Job Summary
The Licensed Surveyor will manage/perform design related surveying projects and client accounts for the Plano, TX office, leveraging Civil 3D, GPS/RTK, and machine control models. Responsibilities include project and client account management, marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, scheduling, coordinating project staff, preparing proposals, negotiating scopes and fees, and handling billing and collections when needed. The role requires maintaining strong client relationships, cross-selling services, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Ongoing communication with the Division Manager, clients, staff, and internal design teams is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying/Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Must be licensed (L.S.) in one or more states in which the company conducts business
- Has 5 to 10 years of surveying experience
- Working knowledge and experience using Civil 3D software
- Working knowledge and experience creating Machine Control Models
- Working knowledge and experience utilizing GPS/RTK technology
- Has experience in client development and supervision of the technical work of others
- Must be able to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects
