Job Summary
Licensed Surveyor to lead and manage surveying projects in Staunton, VA. Responsibilities include project and client-account management, marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality and profitability, coordinating staff and schedules, preparing proposals and fees, billing and collections support, maintaining strong client relationships, cross-selling services, and managing multiple projects simultaneously using Civil 3D, GPS/RTK, and CADD tools. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Surveying/Engineering or related field, active LS licenses, 5–10 years of surveying experience, proficiency with Civil 3D and machine-control modeling, solid understanding of project accounting and budgeting, and demonstrated client development and leadership capabilities. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying/Engineering or scientific area
- Licensed (L.S.) in one or more states
- 5 to 10 years of surveying experience
- Experience with Civil 3D software
- Experience creating Machine Control Models
- Experience utilizing GPS/RTK technology
- Understanding of project accounting and ability to manage schedules and budgets
- Experience in client development and supervision of field crews
- Proficiency with technical and office software required for surveying functions
