Job Summary

Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles. Prepare plots, maps, and reports of survey results for clients and government bodies. Utilize GPS systems, robotic total stations, and other equipment to ensure measurement accuracy. Collaborate with team members during land development processes and participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers. Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment while working outdoors in various weather conditions. This role supports private and public sector land development projects in Eastern North Carolina for a reputable Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil Engineering firm.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of North Carolina
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying
  • Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment, including GPS systems, 3D laser scanners, and total stations
  • Working knowledge of survey software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
