Job Summary
Officiate league games and tournaments in accordance with rules and Park District policies, making quick, impartial judgments and clearly communicating decisions to players and coaches. Maintain game control to ensure safety and positive sportsmanship while effectively resolving on-field conflicts. Mentor and support less experienced officials and attend required meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Work evenings and weekends as scheduled, staying adaptable and open to learning new sports and activities. Gain valuable experience in leadership and conflict resolution within a supportive recreational team that offers professional development and flexible scheduling around your availability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 13
- Knowledge of rules for the applicable sport(s)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, and spectators
- Must be available for evenings and weekends as scheduled
