Licensed Speech Pathologist Lead

Job Summary
Supervise speech pathology staff, plan professional development, and oversee caseloads and the Child Find process. Conduct evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders, develop clinical management strategies, and interpret data for ARD Committee meetings. Collaborate with parents, special education teachers, and district administrators to support IEP goals and address communication deficits. Compile and maintain all required reports, records, and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district policies. Complete ARD paperwork and administer initial assessments and re-evaluations as required. Work within the Special Services department, reporting to the Executive Director, with a schedule aligned to the district calendar.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from accredited college or university
- Valid all level Speech Therapy Texas teaching certificate or valid Texas license in Speech Language Pathology
- Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech Language and Hearing Association
- Student teaching or approved internship
- Knowledge of speech therapy
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to work well with a diverse population
- Must be able to maintain emotional control under stress
- Occasionally required to travel to facilities within the district
- May be required to work after school and weekends
- Regular attendance required
- Regularly required to lift or exert force of up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
